As a non-profit teaching and training bioskills lab, the Medical Education & Research Institute (MERI) supports essential medical training for the greater good.

Our vision is to be the leading medical education, hands-on training institution, and whole body donation organization, that honors the wishes of our Genesis Whole Body Donation Program donors to further scientific advancements through the gift of body donations, leading to medical innovations and new technologies for improved patient care.

1. Heart of the Memphis Medical District

Being located in the heart of the Memphis medical district provides easy access to a variety of healthcare resources and expertise, while also being conveniently close to major highways and downtown Memphis. This central location offers the benefits of a vibrant city atmosphere with easy access to transportation and amenities for visitors and staff.

2. On-site Bioskills Labs

The ability to provide six bioskills labs provides ample space for medical professionals and students to train on various procedures and techniques. This allows for a more comprehensive educational experience and fosters a collaborative environment for advancing medical research and innovation.

3. Large Auditorium

Our onsite auditorium can seat 85 people and provides a great advantage for medical education and training, as it can accommodate large groups for lectures, presentations, and other educational events. This enables a more immersive learning experience and facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge among medical professionals and students.

4. Multi-Disciplinary Room

Our multi-disciplinary room seats up to 65 people and offers a versatile space for education and training. This room can be used for a variety of purposes such as team-based learning, simulations, and small-group sessions. This facilitates a collaborative and interactive learning environment that can help develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills for medical professionals and students.

Real-Time Monitoring

Medical professionals can monitor the progress of procedures in real time using the system’s live imaging capabilities.

Precision and Accuracy

Large field of view and clarity provides a high degree of precise navigation for neurosurgery, orthopedic, spine, liver, vasculary, cardiac, and thoracic surgeries.

3D Visualization

The system offers large volume 3D imaging capabilities. The rotational aniography allows medical teams to view anatomical structures from multiple angles in high-resolution images.

Off-Site Support

MERI’s Mobile Education Team supports our sponsors anywhere in the continental United States. We can set up labs in convention centers, surgical facilities, or any other area that provides sufficient space, light and power, and within guidelines of local, state, and federal regulations. MERI’s refrigerated vehicles transport anatomical specimens and equipment to the off-site lab location.

Our unique Mobile Bioskills Lab (MBL) provides industry-leading education, training, and research capabilities at the time and location of your choice throughout the U.S.

Mobile Lab Features

1. Multi Station

Our state-of-the-art facility spans over 560 sq. ft. and accommodates up to ten stations.

2. Conference Space

Our mobile lab offers conference space equipped with TV and multimedia options to facilitate presentations, meetings, and other educational events

3. Onsite Staff

Our experienced staff offers comprehensive services, including set-up, lab support, and clean-up, to ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience.

4. Bathroom

The mobile lab provides a bathroom on board for your convenience and comfort during your event.

We have staff available 24/7 to consult with you about your shipment. MERI can accommodate any tissue type necessary for your education and research needs.
